Happy New Year! I hope you all survived and followed my tips.

My NYE was just like any other night: I got the kids off to bed, brushed my teeth and then jumped under the covers myself. It think it was around 8:30. The only difference about last night was is that my entire neighborhood, it would seem, launched huge fireworks at midnight, so big that they made the windows rattle and Robert woke up.

So what are you resolving to do different this year? I haven't really given resolutions for myself much time of day. I have however been thinking about what my family should try to improve.

Robert: You will be potty trained. I don't care how many times you and I have to clean pee pee off the floor, you WILL put it in the potty!

Madison: You won't be so sassy to your mother. You will listen the first time I tell you something.

Jake: You will STOP eating the kid's socks and my underwear. It is disgusting and it will kill you one day.

Mark: You will put down the video games and interact with your family, especially me.

Ok, ok...here are some of my resolutions:

-Try to quit smoking (for real this time)
-Cook at home more
-Try to stick to a family budget
-Take my medication properly and everyday

So that's that. Happy New Year, everyone! Hope you have a great year. Remember, everyday is a new day, so make the most of it!
