So for the past week or so, everyone in my household has had a cold. Sniffles, coughing, fevers, chills, etc. I was doing fine up until Saturday when I started to feel achey and sniffley.
So what did I do? I geeked out on Pinterest for a hot minute and found this.
Basically, all you do is run a HOT bath, add 2 oz ground ginger (about 2 bottles), 3x pints of 3% hydrogen peroxide and jump in for 30 minutes.
The lady who wrote the original post for this bath said that she began sweating like a freaking pig within 5 minutes.
Didn't happen.
But...what did happen was the neatest feeling ever. I felt deep, penetrating heat all over my body. almost instantly the aches I was feeling went away. It almost seemed as though the bath was getting warmer the longer I sat there.
After 30 minutes soaking, I got out, dried off and grabbed sleeping Robert so we could snuggle in bed. That is when the sweating began, until about 3:00am. My hair was damp when I woke up this morning, and I am definitely going to have to wash my hair today

I'll have to keep this in mind next time I get sick....
ReplyDeleteDo it. It feels really cool, but you just have to remind yourself that the heat lasts looong after you get out of the bath!
